The machine to turn firewood into a serious business
The Stanley Logger has been designed and developed to be the safest and most versatile wood processor on the market. It will effortlessly split logs of up 40 inches (1m) in diameter and cross-cut timber of up to 11 inches (28cm) in diameter. (Splitting capability varies between models - please see specifications).
Safe, efficient production from a single operator
All Stanley Logger models will handle timber in a variety of shapes and sizes producing cleanly cut logs to your required length for bulk transport or bagging. The logger can be safely and profitably operated by one person after a brief period of training and familiarisation.
The hydraulically powered splitter and cross-cut guillotine are manufactured from a specially hardened steel to ensure extensive life and will not be damaged by encountering nails, wire, etc. There are no rotating blades.
Low running costs and minimum maintenance maximise returns
The logger machinery comprises only five moving parts. All components are manufactured to withstand constant use in unfavourable conditions and to ensure a minimal maintenance requirement over a prolonged period.
The Stanley Logger is designed to be driven from a tractor power-take-off unit (PTO) for which a minimum output of 25hp is required. The option of self-powered versions are available featuring a compact and reliable power unit (diesel or electric).
All steel construction features robust 3-6mm wall thickness throughout with main stress areas of 12-20mm. There are only six grease points and no rotating parts except for those contained within the hydraulic pump and PTO or power unit.
The absence of sawdust waste can increased productivity by approximately 5%. Any wood waste can be processed and sold as fire lighting (kindling) material.
According to the ADAS* report guillotined logs dry quicker and burn better.
